My statement of commitments

Click here for a brief summary of why you should vote for me.

It is time for change. We need students with integrity to support their decisions and the responsibility to see them through, for the students.

We need new people involved with Concordia student politics.

I commit to cleaning up student politics, to make it effective to respond to the interests of students.

I intend to press forward on the following issues:

  • Increased accountability of professors by making public the course evaluations. Most universities, including McGill make their course evaluations available to the Student Union. Currently the course evaluations are kept with professors with tenure, and shared with the chairman or department head with associate and part-time professors
  • An effective, up-to-date and informative website for the CSU and its governing bodies to be an effective resource for students and for the public interested in obtaining information about the CSU
  • A disassociation of the CSU from politics that do not directly influence the academic lives and pursuits of Students.
These interests are best served from student associations and groups that can best approach the issues in the interests of their membership. The CSU should support these groups just as other associations are supported, and conduct their activities and act in the interests of all students in a non-partisan and unbiased way.

I will pursue these issues, with the values of acting in the interests of students. This includes always being open, communicative and accessible to the students of the John Molson School of Business. You can send me feedback from the main page or by e-mailing me: council@pod.ca
